Project Automation (Beta)

Beta feature, Project Automation lets you set up "When this happens → do this" rules on a board, from the board's Automation tab. Build one from scratch (choose a trigger and an action) or start from a ready-made template, e.g. notify someone when status changes, or run an action automatically when an item is created. This is an early beta: behavior may change and some triggers/actions or third-party integrations may not be fully wired up yet. Try it out on a test project first and share any issues you run into with the production team.

Sidenav Mode & Sidebar Sections in Preferences

New Task App preferences to make the sidebar less crowded. Open your profile menu → Preferences → Task App tab. Sidenav Mode, choose how the side menu is laid out: Classic (today’s full list), Grouped (fewer items on screen, Dashboard, Tasks, Boards & Tickets stay visible, the rest collapse under Work / People / Admin until you click to expand), or Grouped (Flyout) (same grouping, but the collapsed items open in a small side menu instead of pushing rows down). Sidebar Sections, independently show or hide the Navigation menu and the Boards & Folders tree with two switches. At least one must stay on. This is a personal preference, it only changes your own view.

AQL - Ace Query Language (Experimental)

ACE Query Language has been implemented to filter the tasks with more complex queries that is customisable by the user and save and reuse as the filter. This is is the initial experiment with more fine tuning coming soon. Experiment yourself and share the issues to the production team.

Click to zoom on comment images

Comment screenshots are now interactive. Hover any image inside a task comment and a small expand icon appears at the bottom-right, click it (or the image itself) to open a full-size lightbox. Small inline screenshots that used to be unreadable can now be inspected at their original resolution without leaving the task. Works on both inline images pasted into a comment and image attachments.

Filter tasks by tags

The Task List view now has a tag filter alongside type, status, and priority. Pick one or more tags and the list narrows to tasks that carry any of them. Available tags are pulled from the tasks you're already viewing, so the filter only ever offers tags that'll return results. Combine it with the existing filters to slice the list however you need.

Add expenses to a project

Track project spend without leaving the project. Open Project Settings → Expenses , hit New Expense , and log a record with name, date range, and currency. Then add line items, each one tagged with an Expense Type from the app-wide master (Travel, Equipment, Salary, Subscription, Others, or your own). Because Expense Types are tenant-wide, every project uses the same vocabulary. Five dashboard widgets, Budget vs Expense, Expense by Category, Expense Trend, Top Vendors, Recent Records, read from the same data so finance views stay in sync automatically.

Change the type of a task

Logged something as a Task that should really be a Bug? Or a Story that grew into an Epic? Click the issue-type badge in the task header and pick a new type from the searchable list. Type-specific custom fields appear automatically and the workflow diagram reloads. Heads up: status resets to the new workflow's first step, that's expected since the old status may not exist in the new workflow.

Move a task to another project

A task ended up in the wrong project? Open it and hit Move in the header. Pick the destination project and (optionally) a new issue type. The task moves with all its subtasks, comments, attachments, time logs, custom fields, labels, assignees, due dates, and estimates intact. The issue key is regenerated to match the destination project (e.g. NEW-42 ). Status resets to the destination workflow's first step and sprint is cleared, everything else comes along.

View every started timer in one place

Forgot which task you left a timer running on? Click the timer icon in the header and the Active Timer Dock expands to show every running and paused timer assigned to you, across every project. Each row shows the issue key, task title, elapsed time, and quick actions to resume, pause, or stop, no more hunting through boards. The running timer is highlighted at the top; paused ones sit below.

See previous comments while you're writing one

The full-screen comment editor now opens with a side rail showing every previous comment on the task, author, avatar, relative time, formatted body, right next to your draft. Drag the splitter to give the thread more room or less. Width is remembered for next time. Tap Hide thread if you want the full canvas back; tap Show thread to bring it back. The rail auto-scrolls to the latest comment when the modal opens, so you're always picking up where the conversation left off.

Import settings and workflow from another project

Started a project and wish it had the same setup as another? Open the project dashboard and use Clone structure from project . Pick a source project and we replace your workflows, boards, statuses, issue types, project fields, members, teams, and automations with that project's. Project name and key stay yours. One guardrail: the target project must have zero tasks . We don't want to overwrite a workflow that's already mid-flight.

Clone an existing project

Spin up a new project from one you already have. From the Projects list, open the three-dot menu on any project and pick Clone . You choose a new name and key. The clone copies your workflows, boards, statuses, issue types, custom fields, members, teams, automations, KB tabs, and service desk portals, everything that makes the project feel like home. Tasks are optional: tick Copy tasks if you want them, leave it off for a clean slate. Issue keys are remapped to the new project key so nothing collides.
